Pathos
Pain -- deep, black, throbbing
my heart and soul a'robbing
of my desire for life...
Twisting and turning
Fiery and burning
like the searing knife....
The pain, oh pain! strikes deep,
my life away does seep
merciless one!
Heartache so great
why doesn't fate
this torture quell?
Why must this be
why aren't I free
from this living hell?
Grief and despair
forever I bear,
wretched am I...
Death would be kind
were it me to find
-- wonder you why?

I especially like the last stanza and the inverted sentence structure is a nice touch too. It kind of reminds me of Yoda.
