just when i think things are better something happens to prove me wrong
it’s like for some reason i’m not allowed to be happy for too long
there are times i’m so grateful thinking my broken heart did finally mend
then other times all i do is pray for my life to end
i’m just not sure how much longer i can go on living this way
there’s only so much pain a girl can take each day
only so many times a fake smile can appear
just to go home and soak her pillow in her tears
all i want is to be happy for more than just a while
stop frowning at life, but look at it and smile

somewhere there's someone who dreams of your smile and finds in your presence that life is worthwhile, so when you are lonely remember it's true; somebody, somewhere is thinking of you!
