I’m so sick Of all the empty promises. I don’t know who to believe, So I’ve chosen to believe - NO ONE!
I’m so sick Of filling my heart with hope Only so you can let me down And break my heart, again.
Empty promise after empty promise is made, But no one sees the pain caused. My heart is broken, But my eyes aren’t crying, Cuz I don’t think you care to see.
Although I wish people cared And seen the pain caused By another empty promise. Sometimes I wish I had a reason To truly believe, but I don’t.

yet another feeling poem that hit me in several ways... I will say I really enjoyed it.
A comment comes to mind on the feeling of the poem... one good thing about knowing empty promises, when the not empty ones come, you may be able to see them.

This was well written and I can relate. I fall in love like snapping fingers and often get too deeply involved when it is not mutual.

I like this a lot. You can really feel the emotions in this one... The sadness, the resignation, the acceptance, the wondering... Wonderful write!
