I Have a Question
What’s left for me When you take everything away? What is there left to see When my eyes are covered by day?
Why should I laugh When I cry myself to sleep? Why should people rejoice When so many here weep?
What’s the use in being happy When so many people are sad? Why smile at all When things are looking bad?
Why get up in the morning When the day brings only sorrow? Why should I live To look and meet tomorrow?
A/N: One of my reviewers on fictionpress gave this answer, and I thought it very true: Hope.

I liked this poem quite a bit. I liked the rhyming because it just seemed to make the poem flow pretty smoothe. Hope could be the answer to your questions, but im sure that there are some other answers out there. Great job!!

this is a very good piece and hope is a very good answer, but the thing that keeps me going day after day is God and my friends (whom I consider guardian angels God sent to me) i love the rhythm to this piece..great job!

I feel very much the same way. I just wish I had more hope.

I really like this poem because it shows the dualities of life. Happiness versus sadness, depresssion and elation. The question of life? Succinct and evocative. I just thought this poem was great.
