You cant change the block The block changes you A better person would try Lucky thing I’m not a better person Just a product of the block Sometimes I have to run on my block but its still my block. 168th street Armory got me out this late Not my block but I run it for a minute or 2:09 2:05 2minutes flat Michael Johnson of the 800 meter New World Record yahhhh That’s someday Why are those dudes standing on my block Do I know them If I do, so what I hate my mother f--king block Cant run got’a walk at e’m Cause its my block Hit’em hard Real hard Bloody that nose real bloody on the block Even if you get stomped bloody his nose real bloody I cant run on this block cause its my block Angel eyes I smile and give him dap A light skin Black-American with curly hair and pretty eyes Pretty eyes What are you gay Nah but for real he’s got pretty eyes Associate from Jr. High School days Know him kind’a know him From when we’all tough-guyed it in church Hung in the vestibule till confirmation Drop a dollar in the collection for mommy Then bounced She gave me two Grime’y His boy A Black Puerto Rican I don’t know him Daps just the same Remember his face If you see him late night on the block don’t run Man how you been Chill’n How’s School Oh yah I’m still doing that I know Kats don’t see me no more plus this track thing News from the block Yah I remember him How long is he in Nah haven’t seen her either How old is the her kid Here comes the awkward silence… Man Ill catch you Yah I’ll catch you Give him dap Hope I never see him again Start walking Hate my f--king block but walk it Its still my block till the first chance I can change it and im changing it for none the first change I get
