Why do you torment me? You point out All my imperfections As if they are evil But isn’t imperfection a form of art? For nothing is truly perfect Even the sun isn’t perfectly round The moon has craters and valleys Even Jupiter has a storm. So would it not be natural For me to be Imperfect as well?
What do you plan to do About everything wrong with me? Ground me? From what? My poetry? My friends? Right, like that would work I don’t know anybody Within 30 miles of here So go ahead Ground me For being imperfect Flawed For being art. Or for not having talent To paint a pretty picture With anything But my words. Even that As you say Is imperfect.
But isn’t all Imperfection Just a form Or art?

JC, this was very familiar to me. your art is most definitely your poetry, don't ever let anyone tell you less. my mother told me my writing was stupid and a waste of time. right. emotions are better kept out than in, so write on my friend! x rinna x

My father isn't a big fan of my poetry. In fact, he hates it, and if he finds it he often reads it and tells me that it's bad and asks why I write such sad thigns. It's like whatever, wake up and smell the coffee. Poetry is art. There's no two ways around it. Thanks! Sarah

My father is much of the same way. I'm just glad that he has no affect on my writing. I havn't written very much at all these past few months...I'm going to have to get back into it....

You know, this piece wasn't too bad.
And I understand the problems with your father. I am not going to analyze him, but tell you that maybe it would be best if you wrote in secret. When I was with my family I had to keep all my writings in secret, I had 4 years of work all written down. Then they found it. They destroyed it right in front of me. 4 yrs down the drain. I remember how angry I was, and I still am.
My parents did stupid things like these because they never bothered to get to know me. Well, now I am a grown man. And I don't speak to my family. I have brothers a sisters that I don't talk to, and a mother and father that don't know anything that's going on in their son's life. As much as you may hate your father, you might want to talk to him. Or you could end up like me.

This is an older piece. Even though my father hates my poetry it doesn't effect our relation ship very much. We get along alright for the most part, but when it comes up the fir really flies. Thank you for your concern, though I'm sorry to hear that about your family, they're really missing out. ((hugs)) Thank you everybody for reading! -S

Thanks for the hug, I didn't mean to sound like that old guy that likes to hand out advice like candy on Halloween. lol, sry about that, I just got carried away a lil bit. I think about my past and I don't want it repeated by anyone, you know what I mean?
