The smile, the false friendship
Seen only in the good times
Not in the bad
So like you to leave when the going gets

And the photogenic crowd you associate with
Leave me feeling a tad
cold
And if I had any feelings
left
I guess I would feel a tiny bit sad
And the counterfeit friend
that you are
Did so well out of me a few months ago
While I was in a lot of pain
Playing me like a fool
Showing a false face
While stabbing me
In the back
yet again
To leave me for the
fashionable soiree
of new friends
While I was gutted and
slain...
Yet again
Time has flown
And I have grown
Into someone stronger
And fashionable parties
must end
And fashions change
I've distanced myself
from you
My counterfeit friend

it's sad that people can actually do this to others and enjoy it. i've come across these friends you speak of, my main enemy/friend my own mother. this was immensely powerful.
