This isn't so much mad at the world as anger, somewhat directed inward.
Volcano 1/22/04
The voices are screaming again my head is in constant pain I thought it had been completed and my energy has been depleted
the voices are taking control and I'm turned into the fool as I'm forced to watch them burn as my life takes a downward turn
My actions are no longer my own the molten volcano has finally blown as my emotions flow like a lava river my soul struggles to reemerge, causing a shiver
nothing can stop the flow nothing will survive it, so I let myself be pulled down until all I feel is ground
Then I swim in the pain I feel praying that this wasn't really real but knowing that it's finally begun and that it will never be done
Until the last one falls and down come the walls where my body lies prostrate overcome by the times and fate

To release so much energy in a poem is....well it's unimaginable. Good Job Kris. I enjoyed this one very much.

For some odd reason I couldn't stop reading this. For some odd, twisted reason I reread this. Three times. liked it. Tons.

I see: A young child running from the lava flow...his feet are blistered and broken and he knows he can't last...he trips and falls...and sobs, because he knows in a short time, he will burn.
Images are a good thing. ^.^ I like this a lot.
