Delissia
My wondrous child, I carried you within Felt your life as it slowly began As you left my cradle I heard your cry Took you in my arms as a mothers reply
As you stumbled I watched your path With joy and tears, sometimes wrath That perfection was not your life That you should suffer any strife
But as you grew, I slowly found A woman kind with love abound A heart of warmth, a soul so bright That you became my worlds delight
Then death whispered upon your door Taking you from me forevermore My world shattered, my spirit fell A shadow existed where my heart did dwell
But you will live within my memory Your smile, your eyes I will always see Your voice, your laughter I will always hear Your beautiful face will always be clear
Even though your lifetime held no length My remembrance will give me strength Because in all I accomplished, all I’ve done I know the miracle of loving, a magical one

Beautiful piece. Stunning emotion, this really got to me, don't know why exactly but it did. Lovely written. Welcome to the Poet Club, and I look forward to reading more poems from you.
