this is for a friend that was shot in the head while hunting. his family said that they feel everyone had forgotten about him! so we at school decided to put together a small rememberence album. most wrote on cards or just wrote a personal letter. as usual i'm good with poems. heres mine
To the Davidsons
This is to remind you Your son was forgotten to very few. Around this time last year I head the horrible news through my own ear. This is to tell you he isn’t forgotten Our thoughts of him have not gone rotten. We still always remember him Though through tears we have to swim. I didn’t know him all to well, But when I had heard that he fell, At first it didn’t seem too real. Emotions one doesn’t normally feel. A lot during life we have cards to deal through Mostly which can’t be seen into. I still remember the day Seeing people deal in a complete different way I have few memories of Tyler Though I know he was great Though I know he was awesome The memories of you son will never be lost We know you had the more powerful cost Right now I have no doubt in my mind About where Tyler spends his time We must remember however Sometime our day will come Whether it be all or some To revisit our beloved family/friend I know for Tyler it isn’t the end Maybe it was for his time on the sin stricken creation Though now his time is a reanimation
*Tyler will always be remembered!!!*

i'm hoping it sent a positive message though his parents, as i did send it to them along with a small book of letters from many people from our school.
Thanks for the comment!

I haven't seen anything quite like this. Many people from different backgrounds getting together to write a poem. I mean I have seen a collaboration but, this was incredibly heartfelt and compassionate. Great Job!

a beautiful piece...i'm sure his parents much appreciated it...i've never come in contact with a death like that, so i don't know how that feels, but losing someone is quite tough....very heartfelt, well-written poem! great job!
