Fallen Angel

[Alex'z Death Chic]

I was debating with myself whether to put this in darkness or here. In the end, I landed here since it is about the devil's death.

The halo's slipping down my neck
choking me until I suffocate
my wings are broken, turning black
tainted with the devil's blood

I begin to linger in God's words
yearning for them to reclaim my chastity
eager for them to banish all impurities
to be able to bask in God's glory once again

I silently whisper my prayers to the wind
in that God will answer
waiting for God's call for my worship
ignoring the doubts in my head

I sit alone contemplating the death of the devil
by my own hands, life was drained from him
now he lays like a rag doll on the pavement
as I start to wonder if my atrocity will be pardoned

Alas, my tears are worthless, crimson with grief
as they continue to cascade down my cheeks
for my God who has chosen to forsake me
and who has forced me to face my fate as a fallen angel

thanks! I did this during class... I forgot which one though but I was too bored to listen to the teacher so I wrote this poem.

yeah i tend to tdo the same thing if i get bored in class. it's usually how most of my poems get done. a great write. the imagery is fantastic.
