How do you take your world
leave it all somewhere behind
the life you understood
the things you thought you knew
to build on tomorrow
in places you did not know
to take the future
with such a heavy heart
the pull of yestarday
trying so hard to hold you back
knowing you have to walk forward
to places you will travel
you hold up your head
to prove only to yourself
the you are as strong
as you always knew you were
grab on to the dreams
that can take you beyond the pain
with those that hold you strong
take hold of the hand
you know will not fade
see the power of your senses
move the world in your hands
This was written with a very special friend in mind who is having trouble in life. There are many hard changes right in front of her in life, most mean leaving so much of who she was when she was young, far behind. I do hope this work makes sense, because at one point she will read it eslewhere and it is never hard to leave who you were when you were young so far behind.
