how slumped, we the
seated, sit solemly
greeting each no face to pass
us emotionless stares

an outlaw, an inlaw,
the 'is' and 'has been' law
so sharp in dividing is
the air that we breathe

just a monkey, no hoper,
a clown and/or joker
with a glint in their eye
would unsettle this scene

but slumped, we the
seated, in silence are
dreaming, that nothing shall
disturb our faceless so fair.
