Futuristic Fear
I can see the future pass before my eyes
I can see the pathetic work I shall do
See the failure of attaining my most precious goals
See the disappointment of those closest to me,
My family who expected too much, could not see
The self-destructing bomb that I really am
All alone... Cut, cut, cut
I have tried being with the people
No luck
I have tried putting on a smile
They still don't take me
Now putting on that smile only hurts
Now the world has broken me apart
Now I am trying to kill what's inside of me
Cut, cut, cut
Wherever I turn,
No one here, no one there
No matter what I do or where I go
Still, all alone, always alone
Every night, out to the bar,
Drink, gulp, gulp, gulp
It's very cold out here..
Time always against me
Now I am in the sweltering heat
No money now,
After the little I ever spent
My failures overcame me
My dreams were too much for my real abilities
There was too much fear,
Too much paranoia,
Too much insanity,
Too much lonesomeness residing deep within me heart,
Evil things that only I can see
No one to pull me up
Here's the real world I live in
No reason to go on
With all this pain,
The childhood in my past
So great that I never imagined at the time
My greatest happiness just passing me by
All the wasted opportunities,
Such blindness,
Now all that is left in front of my path
Is blocked,
No way around.
The road stops here, finally
Finally, I finally have the power
To end it all
To finally attain the peace
That I never had

Another well written well expressed piece. I realy hope to see alot more of your writings because I can touch some of my own depresson when I read your work.

Yeah I do that too sometimes and will not post my poems I feel are not up to standards. I think that would be a mark of a person who knows they are at a certain leval in poetry and will not settle for less.
