Sayonara ...for April
Strange--
How a few sheets
of paper
wield awesome, final,
overwhelming power...
A few strokes of black
on white
and life changes irrevocably...
One setting at dinner
where once were three;
awakening to a bed
suddenly twice as big;
Empty closets, empty drawers--
Empty rooms...
Years of life, laughter;
struggles and pain
--reduced in awesome finality
to solitary memories
never more to be shared... © T. GhostWolf Davidson, May 7, 1979

I love this piece. It eloquently states that power of words. I enjoyed this very much.
