It's been 20 years since I came on the scene And the world is now so cruel and mean But I'm still a warrior, still walking the streets Still fighting my battle, still praying on my knees The world is not thy friend she said to me I knew it to be the truth that I couldn't see Sharpened blades spiral to my spine Still I don't slow down, 'cause now's my time This is my hour to rise and shine In a world that I shall soon call mine Now don't get me wrong, I am but a man A man who plans to stand with the power in his hand To take on the world, one versus a zillion To work my way up to collect my billion Pipe dream or reality, it's all the same Life isn't just a test, but in a sense, it's a game With instructions and booklets to pave the way To bring me to life for one glorious day When I shall be the man that I have chosen to be When it's all said and done, I'll always be me

Hell yeah. "On you feet for honesty or on your knees conformaty"...I think that was metal Church or some Metal band from the early 90's, either way it seemed to fit my impression of what you were saying. Hell yeah.
