Cherish the freedoms you hold,
and respect the flag you fold.
Mourn the Mid-East war,
and the human cost it's bore.
Bloodshed on foreign soil
over barrels of crude oil.
Weak economy in recession
borders on depression.
Working class poor go to bed
often hungry and unfed.
Seniors face harsh decisions,
groceries or prescriptions.
Gangs rule our school halls;
blood stains the campus walls.
Minimum wage is a joke;
work hard and still be broke.
Inflation soars in every town,
while Wall Street spirals down.
Where do we place the blame,
George W. is his name.
These views, expressed by choice,
urge ALL to VOTE their voice.
