Summer, you tease me

Weatherman, you tease me
with warmth and the sun.
But now I see white
The degrees below one.
I hate the big sweatshirts
and the thick wooly socks.
I wanna wear shorts,
tank tops and flip flops.
Why do I have to live here?
Why not Hawaii or California?
I'm counting down the days,
til my spring break in Florida.
But for now I'm stuck here
in boring, cold Illinois
where there are no white beaches
or summer-loving joy.
So weatherman, don't tease me
It just leaves me depressed
I can't handle with knowing
that its not summer yet!

I am a creature of the sun..dark and Southern..I hate the cold..The best thing I've ever done was to live in Maine in the Summer and Palm Beach in the wnter...They called it snowbird..You might like that..
