She never stops to think Never dreams big dreams She says she wants so much more But she doesn't know What that more could be No one ever told her She didn't have to be like them That she could turn aside That her solo could show Through the droning chorus line She wasn't aware of what she was Naive pride blinded right and wrong So lying was truth in her song She never faced mortality He hid his truth from her Allowing sin to win Because she believed It could never be over Giving her almost to everything Even love only got half a gift She didn't allow for full attention Because the risk wasn't worth it So she never reached full happiness Always half covered in a lie She never really got it at all Because she lived only half a life

This is very haunting and at the same time, sad; well done, unwritten...
It reminds me of so many people I know who go through their own half-lives, not knowing and not even suspecting what they are missing, because others in their lives smother them, control all aspects of their lives, and keep them in the dark, never giving them a chance to learn, grow, explore, question....
I'm looking forward to reading more of your works;

Yes this is indeed sad, happiness is one of the most important things in life, and to never reach it's full potential is...sadly unimaginable. This was very nicely done, i enjoyed this a lot, keep writing, im very interested. wonderful job!

Always half covered in a lie She never really got it at all Because she lived only half a life Those three lines just say it all. It's boggling to think of how many people never know the paramount of their emotions or experiences. Nice write.
