Although this poem was written two years ago at Christmas, the meaning behind still holds true to my heart. The Christmas of 2002 will always hold a very dear place in my heart and soul, if only I could have the things I had back then... They asked me to make a Christmas list A list that entails my every wish Many things I would enjoy to recieve But in my heart all I believe Is that you are the only gift I truly want this year For your heart to be joined with mine my dear Santa can't put you under my tree But God can send you to me this I believe So all I can do is sincerely pray That maybe you could be mine on Christmas Day

Awesome, I remember this piece written so long ago. Written around the time the very first Poet Club site officailly opened. That was an awesome time and "THE MOST" incredible christmas of my life for my own reasons of course...great times call for great poems I guess...

Hm. This just pulses with wishful hoping. Love your wording here, and how simple the message is, yet it's so nicely written with deep emotion and hope. Awesome write.
