After all of the tarnished pain, I still remain. The fear, the torment... Well, all love's the same.
but perhaps I am biased, perhaps I'm just a little more skeptical A bit pessimistic, and a little fretful.
When I see those lover's of my past --Relationships that did not last-- The tension, mockery... The world spins fast.
but seeing you, hearing you brings something strange An emotion, a notion that makes everything change.
Ah but I know, how love is truly diseased Betrayal, hatred is all that will be There is nothing in love, it no longer blinds me...
but the way you laugh when I say something so idiotic Has me think that maybe love isn't always so toxic...
But I'm being controlled again I'm slowly falling in 'Cause my heart is... love-stricken...
but love leads to only angry mornings & lonely nights... And the last thing I want, is for you and I to fight.
So these words will not be read by you dear, My love you will never hear, For confessions of love bring nothing but tears.
My feelings will be locked behind my friend, denial And my everlasting love shall remain as such; untitled.

Very well written Seth. I enjoyed the rythym and the true emotion portrayed here. Very nice job,

Thank you for the kind responses... This isn't from personal experience, but it reflects just how I see love and relationships and to me it just seems -no matter how perfect or right-- they always fall apart.

great poem seth, and i am glad it doesnt come from personal experience, and that you can write about something that doesnt come from personal experience, some people cant, and that isnt a problem either, but it shows you have an aesthetic mind (o how i love that word ), *bows graciouly* thanks for sharing a peice of your mind...
