Do you remember?
when first we made our vow.
A love to last forever.
not just the here and now.
A love that started,
in friendships tender hands.
Something we found together,
to travel times shifting sands.
We started out so carelessly,
no thoughts on what we planned.
Not knowing down the road a ways,
we would step in shifting sands.
Now the hourglass is broken,
our dreams of tomorrow dashed.
We did not care how fast we moved,
and the hour glass, it smashed.
But in the sands of that glass,
there is a grain of love.
Where now there is just emptiness,
There will someday grow love.
