The lost vow we made
To love forever
That became here and now
A love that ended
friendship torn to shreds
together we lost all
the shifting sands swallowed us
We started out so careless
No thoughts of what we planned
Not understanding the road
Would swallow our lives
Now Alone
I rebuild the hourglass
Blank pages
In my book of dreams
Starting all over again
Moving as slow as I can
Peace by piece
Grain by grain
Replacing each grain of sand
Looking for a time of love
