here in the frosty ground was planted a seed of hope through the crust of ice and snow past the pains of yesterday
though the ground stayed cold and forbidding and winter glared it's icy coat a few small rays of sunshine fell where the seed had landed
from the ground sprouted a small sprig and from the sprig, green a leaf the more we nurtured it the more and more it grows
now the sun shines brightly down a tree large and strong has grown the tree of strength, of hope in this place where a seed was cold and alone
