Deep, soulful brown eyes penetrate my soul
My mind, my being, my deepest desires
As my world begins to violently shake
I know that this feeling must have true meaning
The words you speak shatter walls of despair
Melodic as the birds' voices so beautiful
Melting the walls I surround myself with
Crumbling these doubts that hold my heart hostage
This explosive mixture of confused emotion
Of joy and fear, pain, hate, love, and tears
Leaves me unsure of this love I declare
Unsure of all that I thought I had known
I'm not quite sure how I feel about this poem right now... it's late...
... I'll read it over again tomorrow but I really don't feel like this is my best work! Oh well, please share your opinions!!
