Torn
Oh god, my head is spinning and I’m sure I’m falling down. But your words, they catch me in a cloud, before I hit the ground. It’s so intense, it hurts, and the feeling’s sinking in. And sharp metallic needles are piercing through my skin.
It’s like the world is going faster, turning in my head. And I’m holding onto the colors that were said To flash like fragments of dreams that weren’t there. I’m breathing in the water that took the air
When reality ripped and existence tore. The seams pulled apart, for me to explore. When the night exploded above the cars. When you kissed me beneath the stars.
written for an image challenge so it's kind of weird. but oh well. enjoy!

Very, very nice. I enjoyed it very much. I also enjoyed the first two stanzas the most. It's truth and imagery opened my mind for the rest of the poem...incredible job, TJ
