If the sun rose tomorrow
and I was no longer here
would those I love have known
what they meant to me
how rich they made my life
that the hurts I caused
hurt me more than is known
would they have known me
would they understand
that the words I use so well
never said half of my heart
would the reasons I lived
be clear in their minds
did I say often enough
what their love meant to me
if they never did
I pray the words I use now
find their way to them
so they know this heart
broken and torn as it gets
respects and loves them
needed and trusted them
the mind so riddled with emotions
that I could never word clear
loved and cared
wanted and shared
all it ever wanted
was a love truer than life
with tears and joy included
I love more today
then I will ever have words for
Through it all
i wonder if you know
that I love you through it all
through all the happy smiling times
through all the painful trying times
when the smiles grace your face
when the tears are rolling down
when you feel not a care in the world
when the world feels like it's crashing in
there can not always be sunshine
good times are not always there
when your quiet saying not a word
when your scared and feel afraid
no matter what this world brings forth
