Summer's Sun
...for April
Let us walk the shores of life
together,
laughing in the sun,
strolling through forests,
playing on the shore, and lying, side by side,
in meadows beneath majestic mountains...
Let us share life,
laughter, and;
love--
in secret worlds none but we shall ever know...
You bring merriment, peace,
and joy into my life,
and I come to you bearing
new worlds, understanding,
and the strength to make your dreams reality...
Let us go together,
to our own special dawn,
to awake in the morning
of a brighter, new world
where dreams are no longer dreams
where our children
laugh and play in summer's sun...

Joe, Kristine, TJ; thank you  All of my poetry is written spontaneously, for what it's worth; I've never been able to sit down, figure out a topic, and then write about it - it just, well, happens (wry grin). The only exception was an assignment in my poetry class in college, where the professor divided the class into groups of five, then gave us a single line on which to base a poem - and 20 minutes to do it! Other than that - I write when strong emotions cross a threshold, and then it is pure stream of consciousness writing; no editing, reworking - just - writing. Thanks again Wolf |
