I kept hoping April and I could reconcile...
Wild Wind
...for April
Ride the wild wind with me,
across vast forests of spruce and pine
amongst the snow-tipped Tetons
with the eagle at our side...
Ride the wild wind with me,
and stir the flowers in alpine meadows
where elk bugle and stand bold
against ruby sunsets...
Come with me and the wind,
to wild virgin rivers
tumbling throiugh granite gorges,
sending rainbowed mists
thundering majestically to the skies...
Come, and fly as the eagle,
to meadows and majestic mountains
mantled in soft blankets
of gentle snow
where the otter plays...
Ride the wild wind with me,
and sing songs of winter snows,
breath deeply of fragrant spring,
and bask in the warmth of summer
deep within the wilderness...
Ride the wild wind with me,
and be my bride...

This was beautifully written, you know it made me think of Pocahontas for some odd reason, but thats a good thing because Pocahontas is full of natural imagery. again very nice job!

Bloodredtears, Amberputis, Joe, TJ; thanks Mou, my wife of 9 years now, agrees with you, Bloodredtears; I don't see it myself, but - grinshrug I weren't a saint by any stretch (still ain't) and did my own share of contributing to the failure of my marriage to April; but like that old saying goes, "it takes two" - indeed it does. The marriage to April failed because she wasn't willing to work at resolving issues (all MY fault, ya know?) - conversely, the marriage to Mou is definitely working, as we work through every problem that comes up and reach resolution Thanks again, folks Wolf
