they say if you truly love someone
then what you should do is set them free
and if they come back to you
then you'll know you're meant to be

i never understood that
i just couldn't comprehend why
why you'd let the one you love go
only to leave yourself empty inside
i believe we all truly love only once
and if it doesn't last, it wasn't true
and there is no doubt in my mind
that i sincerely, truly love you
i've never cared for one so strongly
never had another own my heart
i've never felt so complete as when i'm with you
or as empty when we chose to part
i now understand just why
setting your love free makes sense
not to prove that you're in love
but to strengthen what you have
i guess i learn from experience
and now i know
that holding on isn't what makes you stronger
what makes you stronger is letting go
as hard as it was on both of us
at the time it had to be
and just as i came back to you
you came back to me
i consider myself lucky
when i look at what we have
God has sent me an angel
i guess He really does have a plan
although i don't always understand
just why He does what He does
sometimes i need to accept
that He does things just because

i really really liked this one. I still can't get over the fact that it's like we are in the same position...only that the one i let go, didnt come back...but awesome job.
