~Dedicated to my husband Edwin~
Moonlight softly peers through lace panels Gently falling upon his masculine form. Crickets harmonize beyond the window sill. Brisk winds permeate these wooden walls. Indistinct sounds echo up from the distance. Darkness tames the countryside as he dreams. Locks of chestnut frame his restful features. Contentment is mine watching him sleep. Warmth envelops me, nestled beside him. Rhythmic pulses radiate from his chest Mesmerizing my heart, mind and soul. Each exquisite beat draws me nearer. Loving him somehow completes me. Breathlessly exhaling while he slumbers, I cannot help but wonder— Am I dreaming as well?
