the oceans swept me from my bedroom into your arms a thousand miles away.
you gently kissed each fingertip tracing gently my features swearing you'd never forget any of them.
every smile every laugh every tear it's all there inside your heart locked away for the day when you need just a whisper of my adoration for you and only you.
isn't it horrible the miles between us have caused me to take up another lover in fear of being lost to the sea of widows forever?
i never thought it'd come to this i thought we had something stronger then the currents of time.
but you proved me wrong.
so i slip into a bath of my own blood just to join you tonight in our sacred love.
slowly i drift away flying to your arms finding comfort in your forgiveness.
late into the night i bask in your ethereal glow until dawn comes and they find me dying.
screaming bickering they attempt to bring me to life again.
but don't they know? i've flown to the only reason i ever stayed alive?

For a poet, to be lost for words, is an amazing thing, so I am simply telling you all that I did when I read this... I sat, and I stared at this work... it caught me and held me. For a rare moment, I was speachless! .. fabulous!

damn...i believe you've hit everyone here really hard (including me, i'd like to add ^.^) with this one and we're all pretty astonished! it's kind of a lengthy poem but your lines are short with little punctuation so it keeps the reader's eyes going and grabs their attention. i loved the comparison of the ocean and being swept away and the beauty of the suicide in the end. this is a truely amazing piece.
