As each grain of sand falls, It steals away the essence of life. Arch whispers to the leaning walls, which dauntingly gives up his strife.
Limbs shake and strength is lost, As sand falls this is the cost. Desire of life is now that of death, As you count to the final breath.
The sea of despair you stand in, The very water is non other but your sin. No ray of hope through those dark clouds, The same that led you in your youth once loud.
Those grains fall and price is payed, The grains are close to the limit weighed. The flame of life had lured you, The brightness had drawn you.
Now when tears pave their path down, Over the wrinkled skin, to meet your frown. Regrets arise enveloped by desire, All when the last grain retires.
