Is There A Rule About Posting Comments? For every item a person posts at this site, does he or she have to post so many comments on the posts of others?-Ron Price, Australia

This is a very good question. The answer is that there is no official rule that relates to this. Ideally, everyone would not only post their own material but post to others as well. It would seem that if a writer wants comments he/she would also give them. Folks seem more interested in commenting on your material if you've done the same for them. But there is no rule in place for this. Great question.

Yes, John and I have performed much research over the years and we quickly discovered that readying and replying to the work of others, is the only way to truly gain the feedback that we all crave and deserve. I know that as far as I am concerned, if I expect others to read and compliment my pieces, I must be sure that I am reading thiers. Most importantly, it is urged that when someone does post a comment or response to the post of another, that it be purely encouraging. Far too many people want to play the critic card when in reality they have absolutely no room to critique anyone. Criticism is a great tool when used properly and we actually urge others to use it to make themselves and others even better. But only constructive criticisms are welcome here. We long to provide a safe and very secure environment for people to post as they'd like, without the worry of exploitation and ridicule. Thank you so much for the question. Questions are the only way to get answers.
