i would be flattered if a gay guy started hitting on my, but he would be on the ground crying, when i get done with him..., lesbians are nice and all in sex fantasies, but i am not the biggest gay person or supporter...i dont like gay...even tho god might hate it...we both agree on it *rare*...and i dont think they should be considered minority, they chose this life, now they can suffer it...and if they want to get married, then go straight, or one of the two get a sex change...and get used to eating the pus..well i wont go there...but i dont like bush, and that is about the one thing i agree with...

homosexuality is not a mental disorder. It's not "problem" it's not something that you fall into as a trend, or even something that you pick up or grow attached to. It doesn't come along because of certain events that happen to you. And it isn't a lifestyle that you choose. You don't "choose" to be gay or not. Trust me, it's a lot easier to be heterosexual in this world than it is to be gay. It's called a gay lifestyle not because it's a certain way of living but because homosexuals are grouped, labeled, and categorized. When you are homosexual, you simply are because you are, that is the way you feel, those are the attractions you have. To base indivdual's feelings into a category, a generalization to find out "why?" isn't going to give anyone any answers. Just like anyone else, people of the homosexual orientation go through many different things throughout their lives and no one thing can be pinned down to serve as a "reason" to homosexuality. And to add tot hat, there shouldn't be. No one goes around wondering about a reason to why someone is herterosexual, so no one should look at homosexuals and ask why they are the way they are.
By the way. I was trying to be opened and objective in this. I think I did pretty well this time. But sometimes I get heated about this subject. I'm bisexual. (and no not because i am a whore or a slut or doing it for attention, but because this is how i am.)

I have to disagree with you cherry...it might not be a problem or disorder persay, but there logically should be trends that tend to push someone to the liking of the same sex...i mean if we can do it for serial killers, then it should apply for homosexuality...(if you see a child tearing the head of a squirel, i wouldnt be mad if you did society a favor...and let him continue LOL)...and you are making your observations (more like statemenst to me, but i am interpreting them ) from a different point view, and the science world wouldnt agree with your methods...but hey, to each there own... *psss, kg, is this better *

"666, Much lol"
OK, as far as you not "choosing" a lifestyle like that, well I know a few people who used to be gay and decided that it was too hard and so they lived a heterosexual lifestyle. They got married, had kids, and love there wives with a passion few could understand.
And about it not being a trend. Well I know a lot of women in highschool, the Armed Forces, College(sp) who were very popular. Popular because they were all Bisexual. Them being with each other made them look so much "cooler" because they were the girls in all the music videos. So in some instances, yes you can choose.
As far as it being a mental disorder, yes that is true in some instances too. Something happens in your life, ie sexual abuse, and makes you a little different from the rest of the kids in school. (I can talk like this, I have the t-shirt.) So instead of having a girlfriend you have a boyfriend in the 3rd grade. In this instance the person is acting according to what must be normal.
And then there is the unable to choose, born this way idea. Well it is known that 10% of all animal species are homosexual so it would only be normal for 10% of the human population to be so also.
The point behind this being an actual discussion is the whole "If you are Gay it is a sin, and you are going to Hell" bit that everyone knows so well.
Well seeing as how we live in a country based on Xtian values, it is only normal to see these values every where we look. Homosexualls are grouped, labeled, and ect thanks to themselves. If they weren't out there doing their damned Gay Pride marches, then they never would have gotten so much attention from conservative America. These morals are also why Homosexuality is not the norm in this country, so it is very normal for us as Americans to question what is strange and for so long wrong.
And yes people can go around asking what ever questions they like about anything in life. We have the freedoms and the rights to say what we want.
And you might not wanna go defending a group of people before making sure that they aren't somewhat responsable for the actions of others (aka reprecussions). The gay community has done some questionable things. But at the same time, it is what needs to be done to get noticed and heard. It worked, don't get me wrong. But they have bred alot of hostility. And that's all polotics. I'm not even gonna go there. So I hope this makes more sense from a logical stand point.
