"Losing Immortality" by John Mansell

There once was a force
Stronger than a horse
Greater than a lion
Truly, one of a kind

A bird in the sky
Who could fly so high
As the time passed by
Her soul did cry

Time and time again
Like many great men
She would rise from the fire
With a greater passion and desire

Once seemingly immortal
Now a flaming portal
For the broken and faded
A temple so jaded

Now she hangs from the edge
So close to dead
As life slips away
The phoenix now decays

Everyone tell me what you think, does it fit well?

It doesn't quite fit for me. It just doesn't seem like it get's the full effect that Poet Club was built on. To me it just lacks the power and passion. I just don't see any poem matching our first theme poem. Now, I do like the poem. It has a certain amount of power and personality. But, to me it just doesn't seem like, theme poem material to me...

Actually I was joking, I wrote this poem about Poet Club and it's lack of life in the last few months. Hopefully, things will turn around for the site soon.
