My favorite holiday would have to be Easter. I really love having that time off from school in the spring because the weather is so beautiful. Easter is also an important time in religion, the time when Christ died for our sins, at least that's what I believe. So Easter is my favorite holiday.

Mine is "other" because my favourite holiday is the Queen's Birthday long weekend, at the beginning of June.
This is when the snow season officially opens, and while I'm not a huge fan of snow or snowbunnies (*growl*) I love to take my horse up to the mountains and just ride and ride, because that's where she belongs, really.
So, yeah, mine is the Queen's Birthday.

I chose Christmas, because it falls at the same time as a holiday I cherish. It is a time of renewal and peace for me. When I am at home during the holidays, which is almost never now, the ground is covered in snow. In the villiage I am from, there are maybe 40 people. So it is very quiet. There is a river running through the valley and mountains everywhere around us. I would bet we have almost all seen picture post cards of a snowy valley just like it at one time or another. The specialness of this time and place goes far back to my childhood. Way to long of a story.

I usually like the weather during Thanksgiving. I am a lonely only child and have no clue of the comradeship during holidays so I will go with the weather.

lol, you sound like me Mike, havent had a b-day party since I was 9. could care less about christmas, easter, halloween, new years, etc. never real had anyone to celebrate with.

I'm not big on holidays or birthdays. There shouldn't be just one day to make so special...everyday is special. I'm just glad to wake up every morning and still be breathing and having someone to wake up to....

I'll amend my answer...
since I no longer have a horse *sob* I no longer have a reason to go up into the mountains on Queen's Birthday Weekend.
My favourite holiday is Melbourne Cup Day!
