What band/artist has been a big inspiration to you

Currently John Mayer has been a big inspiration to me. His music is well written and relates to my everyday life. I especially like "my stupid mouth" b/c many times i have tried to go up to a girl and start a conversation, but words slip out without my mind processing them. My mouth seems to move faster than my mind. Well, I am curious to read what band/artist inspires you.

I went to his concert, he has an amazing voice. The one "band" that inspires me I guess could be "Zoe Girl" ...a lot of you have probably not heard of them, but they have amazing uplifting songs

Well Metal has always been my poetic inspiration.
Started out Iron Maiden, Ronnie James Dio. Then music changed and I got into Queensryche and Metallica. Panterra came next and cannot forget Megadeath.
This is a good thread and I hope to see more replies.

I agree with John Mayer, surprsingly. His a gifted writer, and he has a soothing voice to boot.

i remember hearing one of their hits a few years ago. very emotional stuff. definitely enjoyed it.


i have two bands that have been inspiring me lately..

acid bath - incredible lyrics. i had no idea that i could find music like this. very talented and powerful sh*t.

avenged sevenfold - this band puts me in the perfect mood for writing. theyve got a good, heavy feel, but can still be melodic. extremely healing/calming music.
