This Coma

This is one I wrote just a few days ago.


THIS COMA
Slip into this coma where I lie
I’m waiting for you always
So come with me into the shadows
In the recesses of our minds
It’s dark and dank and dreary
All at the same time
My thoughts and memories haunt me
Make them go, chase them away
Come to where I reside
The shadows are dark and long
Cold stretches on forever
My need for you is overwhelming
Chase away my nightmares
Save me from myself
You can’t bring me back
But you can join me
Love me here
It’s oh so lonely here
I’m cold and sweaty with fear
Unidentified movement surrounds me
I need light to chase these terrors away
You are my light
So come to me
Be by my side
We can face the darkness together
Help me defeat the demons
Cure this longing for life
Join me
Love me
Take me in your arms
Tell me it’s all right
That it will be okay
This isn’t just a dream
It’s cold reality
Be here with me, my love
Join me in the afterlife
Slip into the coma where I lie

Hm. Wonderfully written, love the yearning emotion and dark deep imagery that lurks upon each line. Very cool and consuming, just loved it.
