I think I'm going to start with this peice. It's the first poem I actually felt proud of.
Brother
In the opaque silent night
A scream is echoed by far
Her entire being is filled with fright
As she feels the terrible scar
The man laughs coldly with glee
My love, my girl, do you not like my gift?
We now have power, do you not see?
Through our memories we need not sift
We are part of the Night so Wild
We are the Night’s unruly Child
What have you done, dear brother?
You have damned us both!
I love you as I have no other
But to you I now feel loathe
Why, brother, did you do this?
Do you want me to live in despair?
How dare you give me Death’s Kiss!
For our lives did you not care?
We are part of the Night so Wild
We are the Night’s unruly Child
I have given you power, dear sister, see?
We are not mere mortals anymore!
Our souls are light and carefree
And never again will we feel sore
No, our souls are not carefree,
We will never have one!
It died along with our bodies
Which will perish in the sun
We are part of the Night so Wild
We are the Night’s unruly Child
No, brother, we are Death’s Child!
We are unnatural, damned, feared!
We were never meant to be wild
We were meant to be happy, revered!
Sister, this is a chance of a lifetime –
No, brother, we have no life!
Other humans’ looks we may mime
But always will we have strife!
We are part of the Night so Wild
We are the Night’s unruly Child
Perhaps, dear brother, you are right
If wild we are, wild must I be!
She picks up a stake and stabs with might
And through his heart the stake she can see
She smiles as the scream fills the night
And her brother falls to the ground
Through his death she will remember the sight
And revel in the sound
