Forgotten
Death stalks the streets of passing time Acting out a silent, greedy mime By taking young and old alike With a sudden or lingered fatal strike
Buried; the earth swallows up the flesh And darkness eternally becomes enmeshed With bones faded dully white Like the glowing of an eerie light
T’s when forgotten whom they were That ethereal ghost’s begin to stir Returning to haunt and visibly pursue Life as a spirit, wanting homage anew
With muted glow and smoky depths They roam through flight and repeated steps And shout with sighs or a screeching moan To be remembered, to be re-known

Very nice. I enjoyed reading this poem. It might haunt me in my dreams but I'll be ok. I hope to hear more like this soon.

Wow. It was so easy to get swept away in this. Fantastic diction, the flow just makes it all so easy to read and imagine. Stellar imagery the words and rythm brought this poem alive... Awesomely done.
