Dark cold room
Icy shooting rain
Blinding light from inside my mind
I'm dancing in pain.
My hand is taken by some force
Cold and damp as death
We dance so slowly around the floor
I swore I could feel his breath.
Dancing in misery
Dancing in the falling rain
Dancing in my fallen sorrows
Dancing in my pain.
He whispered how he loved me
And how he wanted me to be queen
I shied away from him, looking away
HIs chamber shone a deathly sheen.
In that moment I was afraid
Of what he'd do to me
It was a torture chamber with music
From this, I knew I would never be free.
Dancing in misery
Dancing in the falling rain
Dancing in my fallen sorrows
Dancing in my pain.
He spun me around
Laying death's kiss upon my lip
He froze my skin and threw me down
When I hit the ground, a beat my heart did skip.
He began to kiss me
As I lay helpless in his arms
I tried to scream but I was frozen
Lost in his deadly charms.
Dancing in misery
Dancing in the falling rain
Dancing in my fallen sorrows
Dancing in my pain.
I moved my head to stare at him
As his fingers traced my skin
His hand went up my body
I realized what trouble I was in.
He began to dance with me
A different kind of dance
It was a dance I didn't want
One where I didn't have a chance.
Dancing in misery
Dancing in the falling rain
Dancing in my fallen sorrows
Dancing in my pain.
Crystal tears fell from me
As he raped me of emotion
He left me a cold dead corpse
Bleeding on his cushion.
He laughed a chilling laugh
His deadly eyes afire
It was then he kissed me once more
Whispering, "your pain I do admire."
Dancing in misery
Dancing in the falling rain
Dancing in my fallen sorrows
Dancing in my pain.
He left me, as did my will
He left me to die, his bride;
He came back, dressed me in my best
And in his arms I cried.
It was the Corpse Bride
I felt so dead inside
But then his hand did glide
Over my hand, my face, my side.
Dancing in misery
Dancing in the falling rain
Dancing in my fallen sorrows
Dancing in my pain.
He kissed me, his painful shivering kiss
He kissed me once more and laid me down to my final rest,
He laid down beside me too, as I lay dying,
He whispered to me, laying my arms softly across my chest.
"Die, die, die my darling, and when you awake,
You will not remember this, only my name.
You need not know why, you need not know how
And you needn't know any shame."
