Caramel and Chocolate
A juicy, red apple, With a razor blade inside, Cover it in caramel, So that it can hide.
Sell it at a carnival, To a little kid, So innocent and unknowing, About what's deep within.
Take a big bite, The caramel is so good. He'd tell you excatly how it tasted, If he only could.
The one who did this, Still hasn't been caught. He hasn't been locked up, He hasn't been taught.
Since he's still out, Instead of in jail, In a chewy chocolate candy, He inserts a little nail.
There's a little girl, Out on Halloween Night, She sweetly walks up to the house, There's nothing there to fright.
He smiles evily, As he drops the candy in the bag. Tricks are usually fun, But not this little gag.
Open up the wrapper, And take the chocolate out. It looks so delicious, So she puts it in her mouth.
As she swallows it, Her eyes grow wide. Too bad she didn't check the candy, To see what was hidden inside.
Tell me what you think...

ssc, well that was some pretty powerful stuff....to me a very very nice metaphor of trust. was "tell me what you think" part of the poem? it didn't seem to gel if it was...maybe another stanza? other than that i liked it! welcome to pc, enjoy your stay!
