Apocalypse I
I. Following merriment and joy,
life, and fulfillment, I come seeking--
casting my mantle of darkness,
I end them--
A palpable aura of depression
surrounds me, proclaiming my identity;
incarnation of Death am I.
II. My being cries out in soul-wrenching agony
--I reach for peace, only to have it slip
cunningly away, taunting me with haunting
memories of ephemeral moments when it was
warm within my grasp to cherish and enjoy...

It almost sounds unfinished, but yet also intentionally with suspense. Another good one!

I like the suspense that the end creates and the switch from the happiness to depression.

Chilling. To me, anyway. Depressing, too. I loved it. Great job.
