*This is an expanded revision of a work formerly entitled 'Beware The Banshee'.*
Beneath the moonlit skies of Innish Moor unforgiving waves lambaste the shore. Before wary constellations ancient eyes the Banshees unleash embittered cries.
Forlorn Celtic phantoms cursed to roam. Condemned to suffer, grieve and moan. Ghastly wraiths, so ruefully they mourn; denied eternal rest, compassion shorn.
Baneful souls endure perdition's wrath. Elusive respite, ever stoic on their path. God forasken creatures swathed in sin. Predestined each dusk to rise again.
Along timeworn cliffs the night winds swell. 'Tis the Banshees screaming down to Hell. Deep in darkened groves, lush and green, these woe-begotten spirits weep unseen.
Take heed fool hearty mortals to this tale; Death stalks he who hears the Banshees wail.

as has been said, this is truly a wonderful piece. I love reading about the myths and legends that most ppl do not write about, but your poem expressed the banshee well. great job -- Lianna --

Banshees are considered real things throughout much of the English colonies. Also around the southern parts of the US. Mississippi and Louisiana are most common the usual places to hear of Haunts and so forth. I find it all intriguing. Very good job! Keep it up, Tj
