Tips of wolf fur
Glow of the moonlight

Sky's dark velvet
Black tinged with blue
A silence reigns the darkness
All old becomes new

A shroud of mystery
Drapes upon the air
Look and listen around
To what is there

Soft are the trees' murmers
Words of truth told
Listen closely
Learn tales of old

Listen to the darkness
Hear the phoenix's song
Watch the Elves' melody drift
Reminding you don't belong

In this quiet night
Where werewolves roam
Only to find vampires
Following you home

The night's mysteries
Are not for those weak
You many not even find
What it is you seek

Wait until dawn
Take a look around
We, with the dark
Will all be gone.

that first line really caught my attention.. just the image of "all is dressed in silver" seemed to take me to another place. i found it very easy to visualize everything in your poem.

This is just beautiful. I almost can't pick out a favorite stanza but the first, fourth, and fifth are my personal favorites. Well, I love the second stanza too. ;D
