so many changes
are felt on the wind
so many dreams about to die
with new ones
being born with each breath

did you see
that the door has begun
to move slowly
it is closing
an old life
will be left so far behind

old friends have gone silent
not showing who they were
yet it is understood
life moves only one direction

people have noticed
the ways are different
words are becoming firm
choices will be in the past

can you see the road
it is coming closer to meet me
I am no longer alone in the crowd
the crowd has changed with the seasons

wave your farwells
to what used to be
move forward with care
the rock has learned how to bleed
the rock has learned to bleed

the repetition in the last stanza was highly effective, well done - the whole piece was moving. *sigh* i've been in the same situation too many times...goodbyes are never easy.

My appologies for the time I have been away and likely will still be at times.. work is hectic.. but I have not forgotten and shall reamain coming back as often as I can
