Mellisa was a friend I had in college... she'd never seen the original Walt Disney Fantasia... I took her to see it, and this poem was the result later that night...
Fantasia ...for Mellisa
Forgotten is the daily rat-race
miles and years away
from here, where you are...
Flowing, majestic music,
antics upon a screen;
and;
your smile, soft and warm in
the gentle dark...
Caught in subtle harmonies;
strange lands where none have gone
yet all have been--once upon a time;
our minds touch,
becoming one with the surge
and ebb of majestic symphonies
and;
for a time--
we are alone, together,
in worlds none other but we
shall ever know... © T. GhostWolf Davidson, October 21, 1974
