~*~ This poem was written for all my great friends...they know who they are...I love them all!
Christmas Wish
One day I sat and thought
about what Christmas gift I want
and realized that I wanted nothing
but to be surrounded by my friends
I love each and every one of you
in a very special way
you all contribute such joy in my life
that I'm truly unsure of what to say
(hard to believe, huh?)
I don't know what I'd do
if you weren't in my life
because I would not be who I am
if you did not exist to keep me sane
(or insane in my case)
So as I sat thinking about Christmas
and my wishes for the holidays
I remembered that all I need, I have
and because of all of you, I'm blessed in many ways

i really liked this...especially the use of simple words that hold so much meaning. I also agree, friends are what make a person, without them where would we all be?

It's the simplicity of the poem that i liked the most as well, it seemed to emphasise the true nature of the holidays and the friendships.

thanks...i try to keep all my poems simple, because my poems are used to express my emotion, and emotion all boils down to something simple although it feels so complex! again thanks for all the kind words!

This poem is so true. I love it. Very enjoyable and I'm glad you feel that way towards your friends because in order to have great friends, you have to be one as well. This shows that you are, indeed, a great friend. Nice write.
