The end is kind of shakey but I like how it turned out. I wasnt really sure where to put this piece so I decided here would be ok. Let me know what you think

I could have told you
it would be ok
if you left my heart alone
but you took it anyway.

I could have told you
we werent meant to be
but instead of listening
you went and cheated on me.

I could have told you
not to break my heart
but I thought you already knew
but you took it and tore it apart.

I could have told you
this would be easy
to finally break up
but you only seemed to yell at me.

I could have told you
it was over, that we were through
but you didnt understand
that I didnt love you.

I could have told you
it would be easy
for me to let go of you
but you couldnt let go of me.

I could have told you
to listen to you heart
and stop caring for me
but I tore it apart.

I could have told you
that I wasnt going to yell
about how you took my heart
and made my life a living hell

I could have told you
it was over we were through
but you took your life away
before the truth you knew.

there are times when a rhyme can totally make my day...this is the one for today. there's a rawness and vulnerability to your writing that always catches my attention and makes me want to read and understand what you have to say. though a lot of your work (that i've read, but i haunt the darker forums) is dark, sometimes you just make me smile. i like it.
